Applied Anatomy for Figure Drawing
Saturday, April 21 and Sunday, April 22 1:30-4:30 each day
Cost: $110 all materials provided
This two day workshop will focus on highlights of anatomy that specifically relate to creating realistic and structurally expressive figure drawings. Students will learn key anatomical features that are often overlooked by even advanced artists, and will find new ways of viewing and thinking about the human form. This course of study will lead not only to more interesting and dynamic figure drawings, but will also improve their overall proportion and feeling of solidity.
During class we will alternate between study of muscles and bones from anatomical drawings with discussions about their visual importance and drawing from live models in order to see what we have learned in action.
